January 31st, 1936. Senator and Mrs. B. K. Wheeler, 3757 Jocelyn St. N.W. Washington, D. C. Dear Mrs. Wheeler: I am sending this to you because I know Senator Wheeler has too much im- portant business to look after and he should not be bothered with this unless you see fit to tell him about it. I was so desperately lonely at Lake McDonald last summer that I have been thinking I would dispose of the place. Do you know to whom I might writ for an ap- praisal and whether or not the Government would be interested in purchasing the place or willing that I should dispose of it to an individual? I am sorry I did not see you last year but I don’t believe you people were out very long if at all. I did see your nice boy at the entrance and it seemed good to be greeted by some one I knew. Thank you for any information you are able to give me. Sincerely,
