Dear Friends: I have been a long time returning your old note marked “Paid by Renewal” but I have been busy trying to get well, I haven’t done much else and now that I have lost my tonsils, I believe I am really on the up and up. Two years is a long time to be walking around like an old lady and would like to have my old pep again for a little while. Word from Montana tells me that you folks are moving over to the home ranch and I am certainly wishing you luck. What is going to happen to my piece of land at Bird Creek? Is it still connected with your pasture and are you going to have the use of it? Or is it an isolated piece of ground that any one who comes along may use? There is absolutely nothing for me to write about here as I just live at Trail’s End which is a very nice place to live but there isn’t any news. The garden is beautiful and the birds are interesting and Lavina takes very good care of me. I had hoped to be able to come North this summer as I would like to put the lake property in shape so it can be rented as I doubt if I shall ever spend another summer there and I have so many things there that should be taken care of. I am looking for Josephine the last of this month and I am hoping she will bring all the news. I’ll be glad to hear from you and how things are stack- ing up with you.
