October 1 1925 Miss Agnes Laut, Harlem Road, New York. My dear Miss Laut: I just had a letter from Mr. Mills regarding the illustrations for your book. I am enclosing a copy of my letter to him, also a copy of the list of sketches. I had not heard a word from any of you so I thought that the plan had not materialized and the book was to be put on the shelf. It is possible, however, that we lost some letters as a bunch were lost during the fire in the forest. Our mail was brought to camp in a sack which disappeared.
