April 22, 1929. Mrs. W. M. Briggs, 327 N. Rodney St., Helena, Montana. Dear Mrs. Briggs: I hear, through Mr. Beil, a young artist who used to work in Great Falls and who was at Mr. Russell’s studio a lot, that you want to dispose of a Russell picture. He got his information through a Miss Florence Agen. If you have a photograph of your painting and will send it to me with your price or if you wish to send me the original, I will see what I can do with it for you. I am always glad to handle any of Mr. Russell’s pictures that I am able to get hold of. I’m not at all positive that I can do this for you but will do my best. Please give me all the inform- ation you can when sending photograph or, if you send the original, insure it in express and I will carry the insurance while it is in my hands. Be sure to give me your price. Sincerely, NCR:ED
