October 4, 1928 Mr. Erwin S. B arrie Grand Central Art Galleries 15 Vanderbilt Ave. New York, N.Y. Dear Mr. Barrie: Your air letter of September 29th received and I will try to be on hand October 24th for the two weeks date given me for the little exhibition. I am sorry it could not be changed but it is all right. Thank you for your promptness. I will send a box of six pictures to Budworth & Son and if you will call them when you are ready for the pictures they will take care of the crates packing and unpacking. Another thing I wanted to ask you – Mr. C.F. Kelley of New York has a decoration that Charlie did not get finished for his summer home at Swan Lake, Montana. He has taken this picture east and I feel it will be to our mutual benefit to have him exhibit it in this little show as it will bring the Kelleys and their friends to the gallery, which after all is the aim to get people with money and buyers in so I am writing Mrs. Kelley telling her the date of the exhibition and asking her to have the painting sent to the Gallery on October 23rd. This canvas is 8 feet long by 18 inches wide and is purely a landscape, no figures being finished in it. Sincerely,
