I know how happy the Librarian in Great Falls will be to have a copy of your lovely book. I think I can get plates from the small cuts. Will see the plate-maker about it anyway. They certainly are fire; I want to say it again! Regarding the meeting that you attend- ed, I’m so glad that you had a visitation with Charley if it gave you the impression that you gave me, and as for the sickness that Charley spoke of, I have only had a slight cold this winter but Jack had a very hard one and was in the hospital for a time and we were all very much worried about him so Charley must have meant that and “Roping Fresh Mounts” was painted in the late winter of 1916 and Spring of 1917. It will be a wonderful thing if Toody does develop into a sculptress and if it is possible for Charley to help her, I’m sure he’ll do so. I’m looking forward to your visit this summer when you can tell me in detail all the things that impressed you so much. I’ll be leaving for Montana the last of next week and Belton will be my postoffice [sic] and railroad ad- dress. Jack joins me in best love to Toody and you all.
