Dear Mr. Carr: I want to thank you for the nice article in “The Lancer” April 18th, 1932, about Charlie and his work. I watch your references to our Indians and our neighbors, the Mexicans, with very much interest. Charlie taught me a great deal about the Red Man of America. His love for and understanding of those people was great and you feel toward them much as he did. Our true Americans need friends like you. If you care to some time, I would love to have you come out here to Trail’s End and see the many little things Charlie made and gave to me which are not for sale nor for public exhibition but I believe you would enjoy the intimate knowledge Charlie has portrayed in these original wax and clay models.
