Feb 10, 1913 My dear Mr. Mackay Your letter of the 6th received Thank you for the Check $1800 Chas & I are both so pleased to think you like your picture. He took such an interest in it knowing you would savy the lay-out- a number of old cow-men saw the painting while Chas was working on it and it sure brought up old times to them as long as the painting is in your house I don’t think I would have a glass on it a glass is truly to protect it and in a house that in not necessary- We are very happy to know you like the Kindest regards to Mrs. Mackay and yourself- Sincerely ^Mrs^ C M Russell [Transcript by Lauren B.
