There has been such a juggling of bronzes. The “Medicine Man”, “Robe Flesher” and “The Snake Priest” have been exchanged around until I don’t know which one your client has decided to keep. There is still outstanding $400.00 on the three horse pieces (“Bronco Buster”, “Where the Best of Riders Quit” and “Bucker and the Buckeroo”) sold by Mr. Lacy in 1928. I am writing J. F. Douthitt, Jr., 597 fifth Avenue, regarding a collection of bronze which he has had in his gallery for some time and asking him to please send the collection over to you. I am enclosing an order for you if you wish to call for the bronzes. I shall be glad to know when you have gotten these pieces. This collection will give you some dupli- cates as you already have copies of some of the bronzes in your Gallery but I would rather they were all in one place at the present time. The list is as follows: 1 – Peigan Squaw 1 – The Spirit of Winter 1 – Bear and Jug 1 – Robe Flesher 1 – Oh, Mother What is it? 1 – The Snake Priest 1 – The Spirit of the Buffalo 1 – The Last Laugh [3] Mr. Irwin S. Ba rrie[sic] -3- 1 – Buffalo Runners 1 – Meat for Wild Men 1 pair – Buffalo Book Ends I hope you will continue to have success with the bronzes. I have done very well here in California considering the times. Sending these bronzes will answer Mr. J. T. Nelson’s request for other bronzes and also Miss Cummings’ letter. I thank you all for your cooperation. Sincerely, Encl.
