Russell, “Trail’s End” 725 Michigan Blvd. Pasadena, California   Air Mail   Dear Mrs. Russell:   We tried to get our client to raise  his price on the Will Rogers bronze, without success.   I do feel it might be a step toward  wisdom to reduce the prices on some of your bronzes – for the present at least. As you know, practically everything is being reduced so as to be in line with  the new value of the dollar and the change in the  financial condition of the country. A great many of  the Eastern artist are reducing their prices and con- sequently we are getting business for them.   I seems to me that the Will Rogers – bronze is priced high, even in comparison with the  others. Our client is still willing to pay $350 for  this small bronze and I think we should accept it. .  I do hope you will feel the same way and wire me to  the effect. If so, we will be willing to reduce our commission to twenty percent (20%) in this case.
