Russell, Trail’s End 725 Michigan Blvd., Pasadena, California Dear Mrs. Russell: We have not heard any more from the man who was rather curiously interested in the Russell bronzes. I have not seen Dr. Cole recently so don’t know whether or not he has had any contact with him but in any event I do not believe there is much to be thought about it in so far as that particular party is concerned. A very good client of mine, who pur- chased the bronze of Will Rogers about a year ago, is very anxious to have just a line or two from Mr. Rogers in connection with the bronze. He is a man who is quite a collector and it is of much interest to him to have something of this sort with each item in his collection. He was written Mr. Rogers twice I be- lieve but apparently without result. I have told him that I though[sic] perhaps you would be willing to assist us in getting what he wants. It would be greatly appre- ciated both by him and by us, if you could see your way clear in so doing. My client’s name is Mr. Edward A. Bigelow of Worcester, Massachusetts, and if you can have Mr. Rogers just address a very brief note to him, per- haps mention his acquaintance with the artist and his opinion of the bronze, this would be very satisfactory.
