Dear Mr. Barrie: I was very pleased to receive your letter of November 8th, and sent to you by pre- paid express, the little model of Will Rogers which I hope you will receive in good shape. It has been some time since you people sold any of my bronzes. This order must mean times are improving in New York. You spoke of wanting some more bronzes. Aside from the two you have just sold, I think when you check over the number that are there, you will find you have pretty much everything I have. It would be a good plan if you will send me a list of the pieces you have on hand as it has been many months since I have had a list from you. When I receive your list, I will check it with my records and see what you are short. Things have not been too bad with me for which I am very grateful. The ice is broken now and probably you will sell a number of Russell bronzes in the future and I shall be very happy to have you do so. My son and I are getting along beautifully.
