[1] [handwritten] From Mrs. E.M. Mohler 11874 South Main St. Los Angeles. Calif April 10th 1928 to Mr. William Hart. 6404 Sunset Blvd. Hollywood. Dear Sir in reading the the Examiner this morning the 9th I was interested in an article about you and your home near Newhall, and the Statement that you had a fine collection of “Charles Russell” pictures which has given me the courage to say, we, my husband and myself, believe we have one of “Charles Russell” Pictures, it has his signature, we have had it about 8 years and if it is as valuable as we have been led to believe, we would be glad to sell it. My husband is sick and we are financially unable to give him the aid he needs, he runs a small Barber Shop at above address, and ^we^ live in [2] the rear. I will be very grateful indeed to you if you can help me in disposing of the picture, if genuine, or tell me who to go to in the matter, or ask someone to come and see it, we are old folks, and it would mean and awful lot to us and help my husband to get well. I hope you will not think me presuming in writing to you Sir, and forgive the liberty I have taken. Yours respectfully E. M. Mohler
