I’m sorry but it will be impossible for me to give you any encouragement about sell- ing originals of Mr. Russell’s here. Of course, you must know that that is my busi- ness too and if I had a client that would purchase something I have, I’d try to dispose of it. I would not encourage you to take this trip with six Russell pictures unless you would like to have the trip and do not care especially whether you dispose of any of the work or not. I feel pretty much the same about your taking the trip to New York as I have just come back from there and have found in my experience of the past five or six years that I can do better by leads and interest taken through correspondence. If you wish to send me the photographs of any of the pictures you have and quote me your net price, then if I can make a decent commission on your price, I will try to interest some of my clients. Of course, being a business woman, you understand that is the way I make my living too. I have sold a great many bronze in the past year and a few important pictures.
