725 Michigan Blvd., Pasadena, California. November 25, 1933. Mr. W.S. Hart, N e w h a l l , California. Dear Bill: We had such a nice time at your dinner party and were happy that you felt equal to having such a big party. It is always such a joy to be with old friends – they are best after all. I did not give you any data on the pictures and bronze I left with you to be shown to your doctor. It might be better to have the prices so that you could tell him when he sees them. 1. “War Party” – (oil painting) $3,800.00 (this picture sold for $5,000.00 and came back to me in a trade). 2. “When Cows were Wild” – (water color) 3,000.00 (This is one of the very few fine water colors of Charlie’s obtainable. The Scene is laid on Dwight Murphy’s ranch back of Santa Barbara). 3. “Where the Best of Rider’s Quit” (bronze) and ) $750.00 each 4. “Bucker and Buckeroo – (bronze) speak ) for themselves but your doctor could have the benefit of a fifteen percent discount as there would be no commis- sion to pay. This discount applies only to the bronze as the pictures are down to bed rock and good ones are scarce. If it develops the doctor is not interested I will come and get the things whenever you say. I do so appreciate your effort in finding something for your wonderful doctor and at the same time doing me a great favor. Thanks, Bill, a million times for your kindness and friendship. Sincerely,
