March 5th, 1934. Mr. H.M. Clark, The Paddocks, Rottingdean, Sussex, England. My dear Mr. Clark: Your letter of February 19th received. You are right about seeing an exhibition of Mr. Russell’s work in London in 1914 at Dore Gallery on Bond Street. So far as I know, there are none of Mr. Russell’s original works for sale in England, in fact there are very few to he had any where. Occasionally, I hear about a painting by Mr. Russell that is for sale and I am sending two photographs, under separate cover, which might possibly interest you. I regret so far as I know, there are no Northwest Mounted Police pictures to be had but the Indian pictures are of the Bloods which is a branch of the Blackfeet tribe living in Canada as well as in Montana. I am glad you have seen an exhibition of Mr. Russell’s originals so that you know the coloring which is very hard to imagine from a photograph. I hope I shall have the pleasure of serving you. Very truly yours,
