I expect to be here continuous- ly until after the first of September. Mary and I had decided to drive to Lake McDonald this week with some guests, but have been forced to aban- don the trip, on account of the fires. I hope that the fires have not inconvenienced you. If you are intending to remain at Lake McDonald, I will, as soon as traveling conditions are a little better, be pleased to come up and visit; or if you would care to come to Swan Lake, Mary and I would be delighted to have you come and pay us a visit.
