Mr. Ralph Budd, President,
Great Northern Railway Co.,
St. Paul, Minn.
My dear Mr. Budd :
Since writing you I had occasion to be at
Mr. Church’s office and I asked him about the Fort Benton
picture, “The Wagon Boss”, I believe that law firm took
it for settling up some estate and if you should want the
original it can be purchases[sic] for #,3500. If you are in-
terested please write to Mr. I.W. Church direct.
Mr. J.D. Watson was in the studio this
A.M. so please blame him for this intrusion on your time.
We are going to have a one-man show at the Arthur Harlow
galleries, 712 Fifth Avenue, new York, during the month
of January and I want especially to have Mr. Geo. Baker, Jr.
who, Mr. Watsons says is a friend of your, to see the things.
I would like to have the pleasure of showing him the col-
lection myself. He visited our studio some three years ago
and at that time was interested in getting a picture for
his son . Unfortunately, I was not at home so have never met
Mr. Baker. What I am trying to get at is if you should have
the opportunity, please tell Mr. Baker or any other friends
of your, Charlie Russell is a historian of the old West—
to go see his stuff.
Any suggestion you care to offer as to
way and means of getting in touch with , I will ap-
preciate.
Sincerely,
