Mrs C. M. Russell.
Pasadena, Calif.
Dear Mrs. Russell,
I have just unpacked the
bronze and can hardly express
my delight at having them on
display this season.
The Hopi Indian, #13 however
is not in very good order, the plaster of
Paris case and green cloth covering
seem to be peeling off as if the
plaster case was not thoroughly set
or green, however I think it can
easily be remedied.
I am very pleased with the
photograph, and fell that it
will give a different side of Mr. Russell’s

nature than what I now have.
The idea of the bronze cast of
Mr. Russell pleases me beyond words
and I think your suggestion as
to locating or placing it on the
saddle case is very good. It couldn’t
be better placed unless a special
pedestal was built in the new part.
This however is not advisable until
a plan is designed and made possible
for permanent cases.
The Triggs seem happy and apparently
are feeling fine.
I hope you have a pleasant trip
this summer and will find it
convenient to stop a while in
the Falls.
Respectfully
Schaudies
