Dear Nancy: Under separate cover I am mailing three copies each of the twenty paintings by Charley which I own. I am also including one copy each of two letters and one of a little sketch by Seltzer. I have not included the bronzes for I assume that you have photographs of these. If not, and you will let me know, I will be glad to also give you copies of these. I think it is a great thing for the Library in Great Falls to have a photograph of each of Charley's works. I assume that you are giving credit to the owners of the various pictures. I had a visit from one of the men from "Country Life" the other night. He showed me the advance proofs for ''Trails Plowed Under". It surely is good and I feel no doubt that it will go over in great style. I suggested to him an idea which I am confident would go over even bigger than "Trails Plowed Under"; that is a De Luxe edition containing beautifully colored reproductions of say forty or fifty of Charley's best paintings, with possibly il- lustrations of bronzes added. I have a hunch that people would gladly pay five or even ten times the price of ''Trails Plowed Under'' for such a collection gathered together in book form. I am addressing this letter and the photographs to you in Pasadena, though I imagine you are about ready to embark for Montana, if you have not already done so.
