Dear Mr. Miller: I was able to clear the picture “A Bronc to Breakfast” and get it off to New York today. It was delayed here too over the week-end by a government holiday and the customs were closed. The picture was beautifully packed and in fine condi- tion when we sent it on its way. I don’t think there is a chance that it will be returned to Canada from our prospective buyer. He is bound to love the pic- ture and I shall try to get my commission from him. I will tell you later about that. It is possible he will object to paying the charges as you did not accept his offer. I will let you know just as soon as I hear from him. I am hoping the sale will go through and that all con- cerned will be happy over the outcome. When I saw the picture, it all came to my mind so clearly when Mr. George Lane bought it. I had it framed and ready when he came down to Great Falls to Mr. Russell’s studio. You may know the picture was painted especially for him but you do not know what pleasure I had in selling it to him. He was one of Mr. Russell’s and my very good friend. I know Mrs. Lane quite well but am not well acquainted with Mr. Ernest Lane and now again another good friend and client of mine is to have the joy of owning that picture.
