My dear Mr. Russel [sic]: I believe that you are aware that I have in my home a t No. 8 Markwood Road , Forest Hills, Lon g Island, your large (about 6' x 4') painting en- titled "The Buffalo Hunt", which was le f t me by my father, Dr. Charles K. Cole, at hi s death. This is the same large picture which was at one time owned by Senator Paris Gibson, and later hung in the Rocky Mountain Club, at the Waldorf in New York , and more recently on the mezzanine floor of th e Placer Hotel in Helena, where my father loaned it. I have recently had this picture cleaned, reframed and hung in my home. Am confident that you will agree with me when I say t h a t the light ef- fect on the sky , Square >B
