Did you purchase these pictures from a dealer or from the author’s family? Mr. Strahorn is still alive but doesn’t own any original work by Russell now. I should be greatly obliged to you if you would please tell me the exact measurements of your six pictures and would let me have a more detailed description of the one entitled “The Starting of Hailey”. Were you ever personally acquainted with the artist of these pictures? If so, I wish that [marked out] you would write me a good account of him, as you remember him.
