Dear Nancy, Just a few lines to let you know that much to my surprise the Douthitt Galleries called me up the other day to announce that the owner of the wax group by Charlie had had the group consisting of two horses, a rider, a time- keeper, a boy holding the fresh horse, and an attendant throwing the mochila or mailbag onto the fresh mount, cast in bronze. I went up to see it and fell hard for it as it is indeed not only a beautiful piece but beautifully cast. I bought it for $1,000.00. I know you are interested in this and am delighted to be able to pass on to you all the information I have in connection with it. How about the title for my painting showing the squaw gashing her wrists and mourning (with her papoose at her back) and her dead brave who lies wrapped in blankets on the ledge of rock above, with the brave’s horse lying below as a sacrifice.
