725 Michigan Blvd Pasadena, California February 23rd, 1935 Dr. Philip G. Cole 551 Fifth Avenue, New York City, N.Y. Dear Philip: Your three letters have been received and believe me, I shall do my best to give you a good description of “Carson’s Men” and the one you call “The Mourner” but it is utterly impossible for me to do so just now. Perhaps I can get to it some time this coming week. We are all fine and dandy but I have been so occupied with other matters, I have not had time to really think about the descriptions for you. I want to back-track and get Charlie’s thought. I remember a great deal about it and can and will be glad to do it for you a little later. Thanks for the information regarding the little wax model. Is it asking too much of you if I ask you to go in to Douthitt’s Gallery and find out how many, if any, of Charlie’s bronze they have. I have never been able to reconcile their statement of Russell bronze with the Russell bronze they had on consignment and cannot get any satisfaction in a letter. Jack is doing pretty good school work and will be graduating this June from High School. You will be hearing from me in the near future. My kindest regards to you and yours. Sincerely yours,
