May 14, 1 9 3 0 Mrs. W.B. Campbell, 27 Loraine Apartments, Calgary, Alta, Can. Dear Mrs. Campbell: The two photographs are received and they really don’t do the pictures justice but that is had to get. It does give an idea of the composition and if I can show them to people who know Charlie’s work, I may be able to create an interest for one or possibly both of them. You did not give me your price. Tell me just exactly what you, yourself, want to get for them and I’ll add my commission and, in that way, there will be no misunderstanding about the price. I want to tell you, though, Mrs. Campbell, that I would not be able to get these fancy prices that we hear about on Charlie’s pictures. I hope you will add what you consider a fair profit to your investment in the pictures and that will give me much more chance to sell them for you. Please let me hear from you as soon as possible as I am leaving for Montana in about three weeks and would like to hear from you so that I could start negotiation with some pictures people before I leave. I’m sorry it is necessary for you to dispose of you pictures as I’m sure you loved them very much. Kindest regards. Sincerely, NCR: ED
