New York, Nov. 6, 1929 Dear Mrs. Russell: I am sending some programs of the rodeo, containing the materials which you were kind enough to put me in the way of getting . Mr. Maule thoughts, inasmuch as the forthcoming book is for collectors, it would be best not to use anything from it, consequently I substituted the article which you will find with Charlie’s pictures. I am enclosing the photograph which you wished returned. Your kindness is certainly much appreciated. We hope you will be down this way soon. We are comfortably located in town now, at 136 Waverly Place, and Mrs. Chapman and I will be delighted to have you with us. The rodeo was a great success this year, financially as well as every other way. But I don’t think I’ll ever mix in again. The trouble is with those things that you go in on a basis of not having much to do, and the first thing you know you get so interested that is means a lot of work.
