[handwritten] Oct 1st 1919 Dear Mrs. Russell, I sent you $1000 for picture Carson’s Men & [illegible] for $500 for one year Hope this will be satisfactory. I had to pay 47$ exchange so then you would get the $1000. The picture is [illegible] & [illegible] is home today. I have not got your letter [illegible] & have put interest 7% because I believe tha is what you mentioned if not right I will send another note leaving the [illegible] interest.
