Illustration and poem titled 'The Stampede.' Illustration features cowboy being bucked off a horse. Poem, 'H.R.H. the Prince of Wales Buckingham Palace. The Stampede.' Understanding that you have decided to visit Canada, the committee of 'The Stampede' extends to you a cordial invitation to witness this western contest of cowboy sports for the World's Championship titles at Calgary on August 25th to 30th 1919. 'The Stampede' is Western Canada's Victory celebration and will depict the early west and it's passing, every detail will be originals of the type they represent and will faithfully portray the life of the old-time cowman who played so large a part in the making of this country-- the great inland empire it is to-day. The committee on behalf of the people of western Canada earnestly hope that you will be able to make the necessary arrangements to honor them with your presence, at some time during the celebration.
