Russell, said to be the greatest painter of the life of the Old West, accompanied by his wife, recently visited Douglas Fairbanks at his Los Angeles Studio to watch the taking of scenes for "The Three Musketeers". Russell has recently become interested in the life of the Old World, and plans to devote considerable time to studying the costumes of the Seventeenth Century. It is said that Russell expects to do a number of paintings representative of the life of this period."
