Typed letter from James Rankin to Homer E. Britzman dated June 20, 1939, talks about the frontispiece of Rankin's book will be a painting which shows Charles M. Russell on horseback pointing to some cowboys and Indians who are galloping toward him; Rankin is not sure what happened to the collections of Charles M. Russell's brother-in-law; he suggests that Britzman contact Mrs. S. Bent Russell; wants to know if Britzman got any branding irons from Colonel Huidekoper in Montana or Mr. Taylor of Nevada.
