From Walter L. Barker to Charles M. Russell
Scope and Content Notes
From Walter L. Barker, May 9, 1904, they are sending back a watercolor, as it would not appeal to "the popular taste", the pictures should be more dramatic, with fewer figures; they do not want his attempt, and would prefer he start from scratch if he has nothing that appeals to them; they will not pay $400 for a watercolor.
