In pencil on paper, "What would Charlie say? The roads of life were to Charlie always trails. I am sure that even with all of his love for Montana and his Montana friends the lure of Southern California had seized him and that he would have builded [sic] his headquarters camp - so - Here where his friends may come and by their presence lend comfort, solace, peace - let's call it Trails End," by C.O. Middleton September 1927.
