Frisco Chronicle 28 September 1925 "Prince of Wales Loses A Picturesque Neighbor," Death of George Lane, friend of Charles Russell and the Prince of Wales. "His neighborly relations with the Prince of Wales were not because the Prince accepted Mr. Lane, but because 'old Man Lane' took a liking to the Prince." (Prince of Wales on this date was Eward VIII)
