My Dear Judge: Your good letter of August 16th again brought me back and stood me on two feet, as after I had got home Mr. Willis writes that he doesn’t want to take his letters out of the case, but one line in your letter gave me courage to tackle it again, and I have written him again still hoping that he may again change his mind and let me have some of his things. I dont[sic] believe though that I have the courage to tackle Mr. Lindberg. At least I am going to wait and see what the Great Falls outcome is. I have only used a part of Charlie’s description of waiting for a Chinook, taking the meat and using it as I thought best in this article. When it is copied I will send youa[sic] carbon that you may read it and give me your criticism if you feel like it and have the time. The photograph you speak of of Charlie is one I sent you and I too, think it is perfectly fine of Charlie toward the end of his span.
