-1- Sept 1910 My dear Mr. Whitney It seems like ingrati tude in Chas not thank ing you for the dog sledge but we have not been in Great Falls for more than two months, we knew there was an express package there, but did not know what it con tained. Now that he knows Chas thanks you very much and he will be able to use it ^this model^ in some of his work. -2- we are sorry you have given up the idea of coming here we have been here all summer and I have not had a mosquito bite evidently some one had a grudge against this lake. Mr. Goodwin is here and at this moment he and Chas are modeling a bear and are trying to make a cast of it they are not having -3- any to much success but lots of fun so that balances all failures.
