April 16, 1 9 2 8. Mr. Fred A. Fligman, C/o The Paris Dry Goods Store, Great Falls, Mont. Dear Mr. Fligman: A letter April 7 written by Mr. Conway has just been received by me and after reading it several times, I am as much at sea as though I had not received it. I do not know to what he refers. The only thing that I wish to say to you, I have nothing but appreciation for the part you have taken in this memorial for Charlie and would, in no way, damage the hope or ambitions of the Committee It is not, never has been nor ever will be a personal matter. It is very much bigger than that. But, your kindness and willingness to help pilot the hope to completion is ap- preciated by me and I want you to know it from my own lips. Sincerely, NCR; ed
