October 16, 1928 Dear Mr. Beil: I don’t suppose any kind of an apology will excuse me for not writing you when I received your letter in August. I hope Mr. & Mrs. Keller saw you when they went through Glacier and maybe they told you something of the confusion in which I was living. When your letter came there were fourteen people in my house and I was getting ready to pack up and start back south and it was just im- possible for me to do more than I was doing, as much as I wanted to see you and your wife again. I hope that next summer I can have you over earlier in the season when we can have a quiet visit I do hope you wont [sic] forget that I would like to see you and give me an opportunity to explain to you how things were this summer. The photograph of you and your little stage coach is very good indeed. I am sure you must have had great fun modelling[sic] it and from what I can see of the horses it looks to me that you are improving every day. I am sure that you will [k]now that you have a wife to encourage you to do the best there is in you.
