I am sending a letter with clippings to Senator Walsh, also an editorial like the enclosed to Dr. Hagner. Thanks so much for talking with them about the statue. From the newspaper clippings which I have seen from Montana, the State Commission is very much upset and is stating very frankly that it is satisfied with the model that Mrs. Lincoln has made so that outside pressure is going to be the only thing that will make the Committee stop and consider. I am sending you a copy of Lorado Taft’s telegram which is the one thing the Committee clung to so tightly. I don’t understand why I have not heard from any one in Montana.
