These photographs from the Eddie Faye Gates Tulsa Race Massacre Collection depict Willie Peevyhouse Davis, a second cousin of Eddie Faye Gates, along with her loved ones. Taken in the first half of the 20th century, the informal snapshots and studio portraits are from Gates' own family archive and more broadly document Black American experiences that center leisure, migration, and kinship.
