Son and last woman, Too-nice

Scope and Content Notes

This is a photograph of Quanah Parker's little son by his last and favorite wife, Too-nice. Photographer Fred Wenner's little boys were used a decoys to get the others outside in the camera's frame. Too-nice and the child next to her began dodging behind the porch posts before a good photograph could be taken. According to photographer Wenner, "Indian women were always against having their pictures taken, the men never." Folder 12
