The triangular Memorial Park stands at the north limits of town Calhoun, Ga. about fifty-five miles south of Chattanooga where the Chatsworth road leads off from the Chatta-Atlanta Highway. Two miles on the Chatsworth road to the east of this statute is New Echota, the last capital of the Cherokees east of the Missippi [sic]. This was designed and built by W.L.
