Carved wooden tray designed by Acee Blue Eagle for a frosted pitcher and set of eight glasses / Acee Blue Eagle
Essay/Description
Wooden tray with wooden handles at each end. Eight recesses are drilled out to hold the glasses on the tray. A corral in center holds the pitcher. There are designs burned into the wood with a wood burning tool: outline of the state of Oklahoma, thunderbird, arrow, cross. Per the donor these wooden trays with a frosted glass pitcher and set of eight drinking glasses designed by Acee Blue Eagle were given away as premiums at Kerr-McGee gas stations in the 1960's.
