Carved wooden Bois d' Arc bow / Phil Cross

Essay/Description

54'' long Bois d' Arc bow was made in May 2013 specifically for the Gilcrease Museum. This bow has a pull of 80 pounds at a 24" draw. The wood was taken from a Bois d'Arc tree approximately two miles northwest of Anadarko, Oklahoma. The grip is of brain tanned, smoked buckskin. Bow string appears to be cordage.
